Studying in the Constantine

The James S. Constantine Library, located in the basement of Cocke Hall with the rest of the Classics Department, provides a quiet and convenient spot for students to read, use computers, and access some of the books and computer databases regularly used by classicists, as well as enjoy a terrific view of the McIntire Theatre.

All faculty, graduate students and majors receive keys to the Library, which contains nearly three thousand texts, commentaries, and other regerence books, as well as computers for general use.  Thanks to donations from alumni and friends of the Department, the collection is kept up to date.  There is 24-hour access to the Constantine Library.
